Sophie Diumenti is an American singer-songwriter whose music encompasses many genres. Sophie grew up in the tiny town of Ottertail, Minnesota where country music surrounded her, but she swore she’d never become a fan. There are hints of it in her without trying, but some of the earliest musical impacts she gravitated towards were artists she discovered on an “Oldies” radio station out of Park Rapids, MN that she would tune into around the age of 10 in her mothers Bonneville. Some include artists like Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and even Aretha Franklin.
